Thomas Carson
President and CEO
Thomas Carson Mr. Carson has served as Rovi's President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of Rovi's Board of Directors since December 2011. Prior to his promotion to CEO, Mr. Carson was Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, since May 2008, when the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International by the company was completed. From April 2006 to May 2008, Mr. Carson served in various capacities at Gemstar, including President of the North American IPG business and President for the North American CE business. Prior to joining Gemstar, Mr. Carson held various executive positions at Thomson Multimedia Corporation, including Executive Vice President of Operational Efficiency Programs, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Services and Executive Vice President of Patents & Licensing.

Mr. Carson holds a B.S. in Business Administration as well as an MBA from Villanova University.
Samir Armaly
Executive Vice President, Intellectual Property and Licensing
Samir Armaly Mr. Armaly joined Rovi in May 2008, in connection with the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International, and served as Senior Vice President of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Rovi until his promotion in January 2012. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Armaly held various positions at Gemstar in its legal group, including Executive Vice President of IP and Licensing.

Mr. Armaly holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
John Burke
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
John Burke Mr. Burke joined Rovi in March 2014 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for leading Rovi’s product business groups, Worldwide Sales and Marketing.

Prior to Rovi, Mr. Burke was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy, and President, Cloud Solutions, at ARRIS Group, Inc. from May to November 2013. From January 2012 to April 2013, when ARRIS acquired Motorola Mobility’s Home business from Google, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Converged Solutions business. Previously, Mr. Burke worked in various capacities at Motorola, Inc., including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Motorola’s Broadband Home Solutions from 2007 to 2011. Mr. Burke joined Motorola in 2000 with the acquisition of General Instrument Corp., where he spent 15 years in a variety of leadership positions, including Vice President and General Manager of Data & Voice CPE solutions.

Mr. Burke holds a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University. He also attended the Executive Leadership Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.
Bill Corry
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Infrastructure, Operations and Business Performance
Bill Corry Mr. Corry joined Rovi in May 2008 in connection with the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International, and served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales Administration and Business Operations until his promotion in January 2012. At Gemstar, Mr. Corry held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Analysis in the North American IPG business from 2006 to 2011. Prior to Gemstar, Mr. Corry held a variety of finance and operations positions at Thomson Corporation, where he spent over 20 years in a variety of leadership positions, including Vice President and CFO of Audio, Video and Accessories, General Manager & Controller, Sales and Marketing Services, and Worldwide Controller, Audio, Video and Communications.

Mr. Corry holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and also holds a CPA license.
Dustin Finer
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Dustin Finer Mr. Finer joined Rovi in May 2012 as Executive Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to Rovi, he served in various leadership roles at MySpace, including Chief of Operations and Executive Vice President from July 2010 to September 2011, and Chief People Officer from July 2009 to July 2010. Previously, Mr. Finer served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Fox Interactive Media from August 2008 to June 2009, and as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Gemstar-TV Guide International from May 2006 to May 2008. He also held a number of senior roles at Ascent Media Group from November 2000 to April 2006, including Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources, Associate General Counsel and Chief Litigation Counsel.

Mr. Finer holds a B.A in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law.
Peter Halt
Chief Financial Officer
Peter Halt Mr. Halt has served as Chief Financial Officer of Rovi since May 2012. Prior to his appointment as Chief Financial Officer, he served as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer from May 2008, when the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International by the company was completed. Mr. Halt previously served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Gemstar from March 2004 to May 2008. Prior to joining Gemstar, Mr. Halt served in various capacities at Sony Pictures Entertainment, including as Chief Financial Officer of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment from November 2000 to November 2003, and as Corporate Controller of Sony Pictures Entertainment from July 1997 to November 2000.

Mr. Halt holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Southern California.
Sean Matthews
Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development
Sean Matthews Mr. Matthews joined Rovi in September 2014 as Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development. Prior to Rovi, he served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for ARRIS Group, Inc., where he worked from April 2013, when ARRIS acquired Motorola Mobility’s Home business from Google. From June 2012 to April 2013, Mr. Matthews served as Vice President Converged Solutions Finance for Motorola Mobility (while it was a subsidiary of Google). Previously, Mr. Matthews worked as Vice President Convergence Strategy for Motorola Mobility and in various capacities at Motorola, Inc., including Vice President Home and Networks Strategy, and Business Manager, Optical Transport Products. Prior to joining Motorola in 2002, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Synchronous, Inc., an optical networking equipment manufacturer. Mr. Matthews spent 10 years with Arthur Andersen in its software and Internet technology corporate finance practice.

Mr. Matthews holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Pamela Sergeeff
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Pamela Sergeeff Ms. Sergeeff has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Rovi since December 2013. Ms. Sergeeff joined Rovi (then Macrovision Corporation) in 2003. She has held various positions in the legal group, including serving as the company’s Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel from March 2011 to December 2013 and as the company’s Vice President and Associate General Counsel from July 2007 to March 2011. Ms. Sergeeff also serves as the Compliance Officer of Rovi.

Ms. Sergeeff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Ms. Sergeeff is a member of the California State Bar.
